What is Jazz Blues Music
Jazz Blues music has all of the “razzamatazz” of Jazz with the soulful searching of Blues. What a mixture. Both very popular and distinctive styles of music in their own right, jazz and blues music does come together very well indeed, in fact, Blues and Jazz with the addition of Gospel were all very important components of the whole Rhythm and Blues movement.
Representative Jazz Blues Musicians
Jazz Blues Musicians were some of the most famous of the era. Many of the most prominent performers of jazz, rock and folk music (Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Bob Dylan and Miles Davis) produced some great jazz blues records. Other early musicians, very much in the Jazz Blues line of business include James Brown and Sam Cooke, whose soul music and rock and roll very often had a real jazz blues theme too.
