The Voice is another reality TV talent show, but instead of looking for someone who has the “X Factor”, they’re really just searching for “The Voice” – which is why the first parts of the show are blind auditions, in which the next Britney Spears / Justin Bieber / Miley Cyrrus sing to four judges who have their backs turned to them so that they can’t see them, they can only hear them . . . . and if they like what they hear they turn around to look at them, and if more than one judge turns around to see who’s behind The Voice then the singer can choose who they want as their coach. Good huh?

The Voice premiered on American TV in 2011 and was an immediate success, the second season premiering in February 2012 immediately following the Super Bowl XLVI.

The winner of The Voice receives $100,000 plus a record deal . . . it’s certainly worth limbering up those vocal chords for, don’t you think?
